Recap To Miami Swim Week

By  |

Miami Swim week is the go-to annual event for swimwear designers in the summer. This year it took place from July 20-26, showcasing designers from: Love and Lemons, Frankie’s Bikini and Beach Bunny, just to name a few. Some trends this year were embroidery, cutouts, and cheekier bikini bottoms.  There were a lot of muted pinks as well as classic blacks with colored embroidered detailing as seen in the Frankies Bikini picture above.  Swimweek is composed of two different major swim productions, Funksion and SwimMiami. Funksion’s shows were held from the 20-23 at the Funksion tents at the Setai, Nautilus, and Plymouth hotels. SwimMiami shows were housed at the W hotel on South Beach. It all commenced at SwimShow, which is the biggest and most long running tradeshow in swimwear fashion. This tradeshow brings collections and buyers together housing over 2,500 fashion swim brands. Miami Swimweek 2017 was definitely one to remember and we can’t wait to start counting down for next year.
