How to Quickly Transform Your Look from Day to Night
We’re all so busy we find ourselves running from place to place with little to no free time. We don’t even realize that we are wearing our daytime look at an evening occasion. Like the boss girls that we are, we may not have a moment to completely transition our makeup from day to night glam.
Next time that you are running from place to place, try these tips for a quick and easy transformation from a day to night look.
Eyes: Start your day with a nice bronzy eyeshadow, thin liner, and mascara. You can smudge the liner if you are going for an edgier look. Throw some darker shadow in your purse and dab it on the outer corner of your lid when the evening rolls around. This palette from Too Faced is compact enough to travel with and contains a great variety of pigments. Add some shimmer in the center and a simple cat eye and you are ready for your night out on the town.
Face: Keep your skin looking fresh with a light coverage foundation or tinted moisturizer. I swear by this CC Cream by IT Cosmetics. Make sure to pack some powder if you tend to get oily throughout the day. To further your look for your nighttime plans, add a highlight on your cheekbones. The Heavens Hue Highlighter from Stila comes in three colors, so you can find your perfect shade. You can’t go wrong with a fierce contour to finish your look.
Lips: There is nothing better than a simple nude lip to give you a natural glow. If you would rather add color to your look, try a pink or coral lipstick or gloss. Nyx Soft Lip Cream is my go-to for a long-lasting, matte finish. Switch up your night appearance with a flattering red lip which is sure to make your teeth visibly whiter or be bold with a darker, more sultry tone. I love this burgundy shade from MAC.
There are endless possibilities to transition your day-to-night makeup look without wasting your precious hours. Now what are you going to do with all of that extra time?
